WHERE AND HOW CAN I RECYCLE?

Residential customers can recycle NEWSPAPER, MAGAZINES, PHONE BOOKS, ALUMINUM and MOTOR OIL at the curb on garbage collection day. Recycle depots are located at 610 SW Emigrant and at the Transfer Station on Rieth Road. Please take a minute to review the instructions below for preparing your  recyclables. CARDBOARD:
Corrugated only, brown paper sacks and cereal boxes, flattened. No waxed boxes, styrofoam, plastic or any other paper.
GLASS: Jars and bottles only. Please rinse, remove lids, labels OK. No ceramics, mirrors, light bulbs, windshields or windows.
MOTOR OIL: Place in plastic jugs with screw-on lids, one gallon or less. No other liquids.
APPLIANCES: Please remove doors. Fee is $10.70 per appliance at the transfer station only.
SCRAP METAL: Present to transfer station attendant for sorting.
WOOD WASTE: Clean pallets and lumber. No painted or treated wood.
YARD WASTE: Grass, limbs, leaves, brush at the transfer station only. No stumps, dirt or rocks. Fee is $33.20/ ton, minimum $4.00 at transfer station.
ELECTRONICS: Televisions, desktop and laptop computers, computer monitors, keyboards, mice & printers are all recyclable at no charge at the transfer station only. No stereos, microwaves, etc.

All prohibited or unacceptable materials should be disposed of properly
